A Sacred Destination

The retreat facility consists of two buildings and a geodesic dome, all constructed in 2007 and 2008.

Your group  may rent one, two, or all three of the buildings. There's an extra charge if we provide the cooks and food for your stay. While the center is primarily for group events, individual serious spiritual seekers may also use the facilities for retreat purposes.

The retreat center welcomes all and asks that everyone follow the time-tested rules of ashram living.

  • The retreat center belongs to all. No one is excluded because of race, religion, politics, sex, sexual preference, age or caste.
  • Everyone who stays at Fire Mountain must observe the rules and discipline of the retreat center.
  • Meditation is the cornerstone of retreat center living. Meditate daily and when you are not meditating, maintain a posture of quietness and mindfulness.
  • Conduct yourself in a principled and disciplined manner. Do not turn the retreat center into a place of pleasure and indulgence.
  • Maintain silence during specified silent periods. At other times, go about your business quietly. Do not interfere with another person's desire to be silent.
  • Treat others in a respectful, kind and loving manner. See only the good that is in them and do not waste your time in fault finding.
  • Selfless service is a cornerstone of retreat life. Go about your assigned chores in a cheerful manner and don't wait until you're prodded to do them.
  • Please dress modestly in accordance with local customs.
